The Muir College Provost's Undergraduate Research Scholarship Program encourages Muir students to engage in creative or artistic experimentation, community social justice projects, social entrepreneurship, and independent scholarly research. These scholarships provide support of up to $500 for up to four undergraduate research projects by current Muir College students. The funds are intended to subsidize travel, suppplies, equipment, and other costs associated with these endeavors.
Students who are interested must submit an application, project proposal, itemized budget, and a letter of support from a faculty sponsor.
- All required documents must be submitted to the Provost's Office (H&SS 2134) by Friday of week 7 of the quarter
- Submissions will be reviewed by week 10
- If approved, the funding will become available during the subsequent quarter
- If approved, you will be required to meet with the Provost and provide a poster summarizing your research within one quarter of the indicated date of completion of the research project and prior to graduation
Note: Students must write the proposals themselves. Any collaboration that led to the proposal should be addressed in the proposal.
